Beyond the Install

Most guidance online is written for someone who has not bought anything yet. If you already have solar panels, a battery or a heat pump, your questions are different, and this is where they are answered.

Most guidance online is written for someone who has not bought anything yet. If you already have solar panels, a battery or a heat pump, your questions are different: are you using what you have well, is anything underperforming, and what is actually worth changing before you spend again.

Eco Connect Services provides independent advice. We do not carry out installations, so nothing here is written to defend anyone’s installation work. Where an issue needs a qualified installer or electrician, we say so plainly.

What this topic covers

  • Whether your system is performing as it should, and how to check without specialist equipment
  • What the electricity you generate is actually worth, and how that changes with your tariff
  • When a battery should charge, and why the usual advice is wrong for part of the year
  • The signs that justify getting an independent opinion rather than living with it

What we do not do. We do not install, we do not carry out physical work on a system, and we cannot change your grid connection. Where something needs doing, it goes to a vetted delivery partner or, for connection questions, to your network operator. What we can do is help you work out whether it is worth doing at all.

Every figure in this topic depends on your own tariff, your own property and your own system. Where a number cannot be known without seeing yours, we say so rather than publish an average.
